Via Crispi
San Pio newsstand. Contemporary aedicule with resin/plaster statue made with ancient value to protect one's home through the revered Saint.
Near number 54 in via Crispi there is one of the last votive aedicules built in the historic center of Castellana. Commissioned by Pasquale Mavilio, it is dedicated to San Pio da Pietrelcina. In ancient times the street was called strada Losavio, from the surname of a family that was domiciled there. Prayer to Saint Pio of Pietrelcina " O God, who gave Saint Pio of Pietrelcina, a Capuchin priest, the distinguished privilege of participating, in an admirable way, in the passion of your Son, grant me, through his intercession, the grace ... which I ardently desire ; and above all grant me to conform to the death of Jesus in order to then reach the glory of the resurrection”.
